The singer was hospitalized at the end of April after being injured in the chest in Biscarrosse. An investigation into “attempted voluntary homicide” had notably been opened.

The investigations after the bullet wound of singer Kendji Girac in Biscarrosse (Landes), on April 22, were closed without further action, announced Monday June 24 the public prosecutor of Mont-de-Marsan, Olivier Janson, in a press release. He explained in particular that the shooting had been provoked “voluntarily” by Kendji Girac.
“LThe investigation carried out made it possible to formally exclude the intervention of a third party in the occurrence of the shooting. The procedure was therefore subject to of a classification without further action”, we can read in the press release. The prosecution reports “of two tortious offences” committed by Kendji Girac: acquisition and possession of category B weapons, illicit use of narcotics (the singer admitted having consumed cocaine on the evening of the incident).
“The procedure relating to offenses against weapons legislation has been closed without further action”, continues the prosecution, which explains that the procedure “concerning the use of narcotics will also be classified within six months, subject to compliance with health monitoring”. The procedure aimed at “the offense of psychological violence” on his wife was also dismissed.
