THURSDAY JANUARY 27 – 8:30 p.m. / Song – Folk
Black land
With their luminous melodies dipped in acid, the two brothers pass in a flash from shadow to light and make the darkness dance. With their universe as melancholic as it is euphoric, Raphaël and Théo navigate with class between feverish poetry and skin-deep realism, as on their hit “Until my last breath”.
Antoine Wielemans (Girls in Hawaii)
For about twenty years, Girls in Hawaii seems to stick to the very definition of melancholy. After four albums released since 2003, one of the band’s singers took a step aside to develop other, more stripped-down sounds. The result, composed on the piano, forms a gentle introspection, a real cocoon for all Girls in Hawaiii fans… and those who dream of escaping to a vaporous elsewhere.
Stephane
The young Swiss artist has been immersed in music since childhood, becoming passionate about the guitar before writing her own songs. Armed with raw energy, rock’n’roll insolence and tender poetry, Stéphane now tells his stories, and those of others, as if they were his own.
Back and Forth
Guitars, a harmonica and some light percussion – and above all the voices of Clément, Valentine and Margot which intertwine with freshness and delicacy. On stage, a warm atmosphere particularly characterizes the group with songs as intimate as the festival which is about to welcome them to the New Atrium.
Prices: 16/13/10€
FRIDAY JANUARY 28 – 8:30 p.m. / Song – Piano Solo
Claire Diterzi
Since his debut with the Touraine punk rock group Forguette Mi Note, the artist has never stopped embarking on ambitious projects. In her last show that she will present at the New Atrium, Claire Diterzi sits down to eat. With her sidekick Stéphane Garin, she wanted to deconstruct the music she usually embodies and strip it of what makes rock. Electric kettle, sponge, faucet, bells and toys on stage make up a veritable cabinet of musical curiosity
The Chica
The singer skilfully combines her classical musical training, her love for Debussy and her attraction to very current sounds. Following in the footsteps of a barefoot Björk, or an Agnes Obel from the antipodes, the Franco-Venezuelan girl conveys raw emotion, somewhere between abstract thoughts and poetic introspection.
Prices: 14/10/8€
SATURDAY JANUARY 29 – 8:30 p.m. / Electro – Rock
Magenta
The Fauve collective has undergone its transformation. Fauve is no more, long live Magenta! Initially, the musicians wanted to create music “that dances and thinks”, mixing hypnotic loops and bitter texts like “thoughts that collide”.
Terrier
First a composer of soundtracks for the cinema, the theater or the small screen, Terrier, with a hoarse voice that oscillates between brutality and gentleness, delivers himself with raw texts and words that are sometimes raw, but always deeply personal.
Joanne O Joan
Joanne O Joan’s music is directly drawn from the world of childhood. Within the duo, songs are written at night, in dreams. They are an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Their music evokes Camille, James Blake, or Yelle, for whom they recently opened.
Ephebe
The music of this young artist and producer from Tours presents several facets: luminous and dark, dancing or atmospheric… It is nourished as much by the pop of Etienne Daho as by productions by Kanye West or Gesaffelstein. Alone at the piano on the stage of the New Atrium, Ephèbe will bare her heart and deploy raw emotions.
