On Tuesday May 24, Salvador Ramos killed 19 children and two teachers in an elementary school in Texas, United States. The families complain about the inaction of the authorities.

A shooting that plunged the United States into anger, sadness and horror. In Uvalde (Texas), Tuesday, May 24, 21 people were murdered by Salvador Ramos. The investigation is progressing and questions arise about the police intervention deemed too late. Half an hour after the killing, the authorities were surrounding the school, but already the families were complaining about the lack of intervention. “The cops are out, they don’t do anything”complains one of the parents on an amateur video.

The shooting would have lasted between half an hour and 40 minutes and many are wondering if an intervention was possible. An officer interviewed thinks not. “Of course, we failed because we could not prevent this attack (…) but the police present on this site put their lives in danger and saved children”. The killer was very prepared, he had previously bought weapons and left his job.
