The International Court of Justice issues its decision this Friday regarding accusations of “genocide” in Gaza

A verdict that will be closely followed around the world. On Friday January 26, the highest court of the UN rendered a first decision on urgent measures requested by South Africa against Israel, which it accuses of “genocide” in Gaza. The International Court of Justice (ICJ), which sits in The Hague, could order Israel to stop its military campaign or facilitate humanitarian aid. France condemns Israeli shooting at a UN refuge. “United Nations sites and humanitarian personnel, whose work is essential to the civilian populations of Gaza, must absolutely be protected”affirms the Quai d’Orsay, calling on Israel to “comply with international humanitarian law”. These strikes left 13 dead, according to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).
