A unanimous condemnation. The announcement by Russian President Vladimir Putin of a “military operation” in Ukraine, Thursday, February 24, followed by explosions in several Ukrainian cities, aroused many reactions in the world.

US President Joe Biden has denounced “unwarranted attack” of Russia against Ukraine. “Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will cause”he insisted, assuring that “the world would demand accountability from Russia”.

“President Putin, in the name of humanity, bring your troops back to Russia!”, also launched UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called the Russian military operation a “brilliant violation of international law”speaking of a “dark day” for the whole of Europe. “We strongly condemn Russia’s unjustified attack on Ukraine”also assured the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
