In Gaza, corpses are transported on a cart after a humanitarian aid distribution. These dozens of deaths sparked global outrage. In France, Emmanuel Macron expresses his deep indignation. In a message published on X, formerly Twitter, he asks “truth, justice and respect for international law”. The Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed, Friday March 1, French anger against Israel.
Two different versions of the facts
Shocked, the head of the United Nations pleads for an effective independent investigation. China condemns this incident, when, at the UN, a Palestinian ambassador mentions “a massacre”. Two versions of the facts conflict. The Israeli army admits to having fired and affirms that, in the chaos, Palestinians died when they were pushed and trampled. According to Gazan witnesses, the IDF is responsible. France is also calling for an independent investigation.
