Marc Fauvelle and Renaud Dély welcome Eve Rogereditorial director of Parisian / Today in France, Jean-Jérôme Bertolushead of the political department of franceinfo, and Brice TeinturierDeputy Chief Executive Officer of Ipsos-France, to discuss the topics and proposals of the Communist candidate for the presidential election, guest of Franceinfo’s “Presidential Mornings” on Wednesday 26 January.
>>> What to remember from the interview with Fabien Roussel at franceinfo
Fabien Roussel says it himself: he has a program that points to the left. Industrialization, nuclear, hunting: on all these subjects, he defends positions that are sometimes at odds with his competitors Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Anne Hidalgo or Yannick Jadot, among others. This earned him not to be retained by the organizers of the popular Primary, but which “allows him to establish a different candidacy compared to the rest of the left”notes Jean-Jérôme Bertolus.
Brice Teinturier of Ipsos points out that Fabien Roussel’s electorate is “very left, rather old, atheist. This is its strength and its limit: to represent what remains of the communist electorate, but with programmatic points that may not be well understood.”
