Why did part of the team Ace of information Is she smiling from ear to ear? That’s because last week, your favorite news outlet won not one, but two awards! Eh ? What ? I’ll tell you about this wonderful evening!
On May 29, in Montreal, the Numix awards gala took place. It’s an awards ceremony that rewards creativity in the digital field. All kinds of great projects were nominated (meaning they had a chance of winning a prize): podcasts, exhibitions, virtual reality applications… And The Aces of Info !
To our delight, our platform won two awards. These are the beautiful X-shaped trophies in the photo! The first was in the Web and application category for youth and family. The second (the one that is knitted!) highlights the social impact. It’s an award that warms our hearts very, very much. Informing children about current events, helping them understand the world, encouraging them to ask questions, that’s our mission. And we are convinced that curious and enlightened children like you can help change the world!
So thank you, dear Ace, for being part of this great adventure. These prices are also yours.
Psst! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the people in the photo.
On the left is Eve. The Aces of Info, it’s her baby. She has been doing projects for young people for over 30 years. She’s truly passionate, and a great boss!
Next to it, you can see Mylène. She takes care of the entire section of the site reserved for teachers. If your teacher sometimes gives you exercises related to our articles, it’s because of her! ????
Then, you can see Geneviève (Rossier!), the general director of the Information Coops. This is the large family of newspapers of which the Ace.
Then there is me, Marie. Racking my brain to find ways to explain current events to you is my job. And I love that !
Finally, here is Geneviève (Benoit!). She is the one who created our beautiful website, with a company called Les Affranchis. When we have technical problems, Geneviève always comes to our rescue!
And there are many other people on the Ace team. Carolineour super journalist who is interested in everything. Melaniewho you know well thanks to his videos. Marilysour community manager (now a specialist in scientific articles). Emericour sports-journalist-film-critic. Camille, which examines web phenomena and combats misinformation. Not counting our philosopher friend Gilleswho loves to think with you. Lysiane, who writes all kinds of texts and exercises. Our interns, and even more. All of them are important and bring a special touch to this site.
In short, the Aces are a close-knit family of which we are very proud… Just as we are proud of our Social Impact prize!
