After the death of a 3-year-old child in Corcondray, north of Saint-Vit, in November 2020, the mother, interned in a psychiatric hospital, could be auditioned. She admitted to having strangled his son according to the public prosecutor of Besançon, Etienne Manteaux.
The incarcerated mother
Charged for “intentional homicide on a minor under 15”, she was remanded in custody in Dijon remand center. “The question of the criminal responsibility of Madame in relation to these facts remains unresolved”, adds the prosecutor. After the death of her child, the mother had made mystical remarks to a doctor.
The little boy was found in a ditch, alongside his mother, on November 19, 2020, after several hours of searching. Very agitated and making incoherent remarks, the mother had been interned automatically by the prefect.
