It is a model of courage and tenacity. Having become quadriplegic after the Bataclan attack, Pierre Cabon continues to live his life fully despite everything.
Despite the effort, rock Cabon and his wife Miriam always have a smile. Every outing is a victory. “Life is Beautiful“, he assures. A life that almost came to an end on the evening of November 13, 2015. He was shot in the spinal cord. TO 25 years old, on the floor of Bataclan. He becomes paraplegic. “I accepted the chair rather well and it does not fail to work“, he confides. On the evening of the attacks, the couple had only known each other for five months. Yet it was Miriam who helped him hold on. After seven months of convalescence at Les Invalides, rock Cabon learns to understand everyday life with an armchair.
He marries Myriam and they go on a honeymoon trip to the United States. A flight over the Grand Canyon will change everything. “We find out if I can ride a helicopter. There are plenty of things we can do. It is the beginning of a new search for sensations, activities, emotion“, Explain rock Cabon. They both quit their jobs and create Wheeled World, an advice site for travelers disabled. The whole world is open to them: parachute jump, climb Machu Pichu, crossing the desert ofAtacama of New Zealand in tandem.
From these experiences, they made a book, A glow in the dark (Fayard editions). Invited by companies, the couple recount their fury to live with a message transmitted during the conferences: never give up despite the difficulties.
