She has come a long way since… 2003! Discovered in the Star Academy season 3, Sofia Essaïdi was then only 19 years old, but already an effective sense of the show which will make her climb to the semi-finals! Litigation, she had applied to the letter the many advice of her teachers of singing, dancing and dramatic art of the time to accumulate a nice artistic background when she left the castle. Talents that will then allow him to be spotted by many producers and directors, for “Cléopatre” on stage or “Iznogoud” at the cinema. At a time when the cult program of TF1 is coming back in force soon, the young woman confides in keeping “a good memory” which will have been for her, ultimately, “a gateway”. And we find her today indeed in the casting of the new event series of the first channel: “Les Combattantes”. She joins the whole team of the “Bazaar of Charity”, like Audrey Fleurot or Camille Lou. She plays Caroline Dewitt, a bourgeois who must, in the middle of the First World War, take over the factory of her husband who has gone to the front. At 38, everything seems to smile on her… This Saturday, September 24, invited to the microphone of RFM to discuss her news, the young 38-year-old woman had the incredible surprise of finding Kamel Ouali, her former coach, her mentor.
“I love you with love too, until the end of life.”
“Can I tell people that I love you with love?” the choreographer begins immediately. And Sofia Essaïdi to reply, moved: “I love you too, until the end of my life.” Kamel then clarifies for listeners: “Even if we don’t see each other every day, with Sofia, it will be unconditional love for life.” Which makes the actress say: “I agree, which is also quite difficult to describe, there is something that has made the bond there since we have known each other and I think that it does not will never stop, really.” And Kamel Ouali to share her memories: “She was a magnificent queen and there, to be very honest, a few days ago I turned on the TV I came across TF1, I saw the trailer for “Combattantes”, but I was so proud! What a career she has, she sings, she dances, she plays comedy, she knows how to do everything well. I am so proud, and too happy for you, congratulations (…) I know that you do it with great rigor, a lot of work behind”, greets the dance teacher, completely a fan of his ex-student. “Thank you my darling Kamel, I love you very much too (…) I miss him, with our crazy lives we don’t have time to see each other”, finally sighs Sofia Essaïdi, on the verge of tears.
