A man was sentenced to a two-year suspended prison sentence by the Criminal Court of Châteauroux this Wednesday, May 11. The 50-year-old, from La Châtre, is found guilty of having sexually assaulted his stepdaughter when she was underage. Between 2005 and 2006, he repeatedly touched her breasts, buttocks and sex.
Assault on his 12-year-old daughter-in-law
His daughter-in-law describes two episodes. The first time, she is 12 years old. She is sitting on a chair on the terrace when the 35-year-old man approaches her. He insists on massaging her neck and takes the opportunity to feel her chest.
The second time, she is barely older. The 13-year-old comes out of the shower in a bathrobe. He passes her in the hallway and insists, once again, on massaging her. The girl doesn’t want to but lets herself be convinced. The man takes her to his room, lays her down on the bed and caresses her buttocks, breasts and sex.
At the hearing, the defendant said he did not remember. “I just massaged her, I didn’t touch her breastshe assures. Besides, she was 15, not 13″. “However, in police custody, you admitted the factsreplied the prosecutor. You even said you were excited”. But the defendant continues to deny, before admitting: “it may have happened once”.
The prosecutor requires two years in prison, one of which is closed. He was eventually given a two-year suspended sentence. The man is condemned to an obligation of work and care. He is also registered in Fijais (Automated judicial file of perpetrators of sexual or violent offences).
