The socialist senator from Val d’Oise was, on Monday, the guest of “Your political moment” on the franceinfo channel. He spoke of the union of the left around a single candidacy for the presidential election.
The horizon of a left-wing primary for a single presidential candidacy seems to be receding. So, how to rally the electorate? For Socialist Senator Rachid Temal, guest Monday, January 17 of “Your political moment” on franceinfo, “the important thing is not to combine the logos but to create a dynamic”.
“The important thing is to speak to the French, which is what Anne Hidalgo does”, he assures. It is necessary, according to the senator, “that the people who listen to us, who are on the minimum wage, who are employees, managers or teachers, say to themselves: ‘your proposals interest us'”.
The absence of a single candidate on the left would therefore not be a problem, for the senator from Val d’Oise. “Very often in the history of the left, there have been several candidates”, he recalls. “The interest now is to go see the French one after the other, and tell them that the left is there”, continued the regional councilor for Île-de-France.
