The importance of alertness in life

At the end of winter, after 2 years of difficult sanitary conditions and in full aggression of a country by another in the East: our body expresses pains to which is added the will to hold on AT ALL COSTS.

I’ve been an osteopath for more than 10 years and this year we have people who arrive exhausted, who tend to grit their teeth to hold on.

Paralyzed muscles, permanently controlled postures, high level of stress and the list is not complete… However, living things are not made to endure such contractures continuously.

I constantly repeat to this microphone that life is made up of alternating phases of activity/sleep, tension/relaxation, as day follows night, as low tide and high tide also follow each other.

We have no control over the general context, but is it necessary to add to our tensions, objectives of perfection in all areas? Let’s breathe a little, let’s give ourselves the right to be human and therefore fallible.

We are entitled to moments of rest, to start better afterwards. As my Grandmother would say “be careful not to stretch the bag too much: the seams will end up blowing up.”

To listen again.
