A nest of Asian hornets can accommodate up to 30 or even 40 queens. These were still seen in early December near beehives. They are not yet hidden in the crevices of stones or under wood waste. It is therefore important to report them in order to destroy them. Good thing, the association l’Abeille Creuse has signed an agreement with the department of Creuse in order to settle 60% of the intervention bill between them. An intervention costs between 110 and 150 euros. For the moment, only 7 Crucian insect pest workers are participating in this operation. Here is the list:

This year the Asian hornets are much less numerous than last year when 2 to 300 nests were destroyed in Creuse. It seems that the weather was not favorable to this bee predator either.
