An accident that leaves traces and scars for life
In the magazine Paris Match in 2017the host confided without taboo on the accident she experienced in 1980 when she was just a child aged 5. “JI spilled my hot chocolate on my pajamas. Little Julia is third degree burns and this memory is all the more traumatic because it is the very first childhood memory she has. “The emergency services having poorly assessed the damage, we spent a bit of time at home. It’s too late for a transplant. Suddenly, it was left for years at the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul hospital in Paris, serving severe burn victims twice a week. While my friends have dance or piano, I have hosto!” she confided at the time.
Julia Vignali: “my arm will no longer grow”
This serious domestic accident leads to equally dramatic consequences later. “One day, they decided to operate on me otherwise my arm would no longer grow. It’s better to have an ugly arm with a scar than a small arm that has stopped growing too soon..” she remembers. But he is difficult for the young Julia Vignali to adapt to this physical change.
A few years later, she made a radical decision: tattoo his scar and thus enhance his arm.
Julia Vignali chose to ink a cherry blossom tree on her skin. But once she got home: “I’m crying because I can’t get used to this new arm” explains Luigi’s mother.
