The offices located in France of the Chinese multinational Huawei were searched on Tuesday, franceinfo learned from a judicial source on Thursday February 8, confirming information from “L’Informé”. These searches took place as part of a case involving suspected breaches of integrity.
A preliminary investigation was opened by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) according to the same judicial source. Violations of integrity include offenses such as corruption, influence peddling or illegal taking of interests.
The Chinese multinational, specializing in computer and telecommunications technologies, arrived in France in 2003. Since then, Huawei has opened six research centers and a global design center in Paris. At the end of 2025, Huawei plans to launch its first production of equipment for mobile telecom networks, notably 5G, in a factory in Brumath in Alsace, the first factory built outside China.
