The House of the Dragon already renewed for season 2

HBO was quick to confirm the renewal of The Dragon House. Launched on August 21, the first episode of the series drawn from the universe created by author George R. R. Martin shattered all audience records for the American broadcaster, thus precipitating the confirmation of a second season.

HBO’s decision is not surprising in itself, however, considering the investment devoted to the series which takes place 200 years before the events of the original saga. Game Of Thrones. The same goes for the interest shown by the public; four days after the launch of The House of the Dragonalready 20 million people had seen the first episode of the series, half of them live on Sunday evening.

It was last July at Comic-Con in San Diego that George R. R. Martin and the team of The House of the Dragon first reported that talks are underway for a series renewal, which focuses on the story of House Targaryen as told in the book. Fire and Blood.

The ten episodes of the first season, which each cost nearly 20 million dollars, will be unveiled weekly until October 23, they are then available for webcasting to subscribers of the platform. The French version is available in Quebec to Crave subscribers.
