The host reveals THE reason for this last minute cancellation!

Monday May 23, Jawad Bendaoud was scheduled to be one of Cyril Hanouna’s guests in Do not touch My TV on C8. The 35-year-old young man was sentenced for having lodged in an apartment in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) two terrorists on the run who were behind the attacks of November 13, 2015, Abdelhamid Abaaoud and Chakib Akrouh.

But finally his appearance on the most watched talk show in France was canceled. “Jawad Bendaoud was to be invited in #TPMP this evening. In a case like this, only the opinion of the victims counts. So I made the decision to cancel the interview. I’ll explain everything to you tonight”explained Cyril Hanouna on Twitter.

“If we had invited him this evening it was not to do a complacent interview with Jawad, but it was also because we are watched by a lot of young people”said the host a few hours later on his show, in the presence of Jeanne Manson and her daughter, Shirel, who came to give their version of the facts in the Berry affair. “I wanted to receive him to put him face to face with his responsibilities, and that he should not believe and listen to everything and anything (…) we wanted to know how he had ended up there, so as not to that it happens to other people.”

And if Cyril Hanouna retracted it was because of the tweet from Brunella Emmanuelli, a relative of the victims. “Never in my life would I have imagined myself writing to you to ask this Cyril Hanouna, it is with a lump in my throat that I beg you not to do this to us. When I speak of us, it is in the name of all the victims of the attacks of November 13”she wrote.

“I think I made the right decision. When I read Brunella Emmanuelli’s tweet, I said to myself that if she is writing this to me, it is because there are many victims and their families, who do not don’t want to see that on TV.”
