His autobiographical book entitled Nostalvia comes out today. So, this Thursday, September 28, 2023, Patrick Sébastien continues the interviews! As proof, after responding to Laurence Ferrari’s invitation by going to the set of Punchline the day before, this Thursday morning, the host was the exceptional guest of the show Pascal Praud and you (Europe 1).
The opportunity for the 69-year-old man to promote his work and in the process discuss the evolution of society compared to the 1970s. Pascal Praud also asked his guest of the day if he thought that a young man approached a woman differently than 50 years ago.
“Yes, obviously, out of fear. I think it’s good. I talk about it in my book. I’ve never done anything (with women). It’s very good that it’s evolving . […] “, replied Patrick Sébastien before telling several very personal anecdotes to explain that this development was not without consequences.
“I did an interview last year in the middle of a heatwave with a journalist and I said ‘I’m hot’. She looked at me with a dark look and said ‘that supposes I’ take off my blouse’. I told him ‘no, it’s just that it’s hot’. We end up with opposite excesses”, he recalled on the airwaves of Europe 1.

“If the girl comes out screaming, you lose.”
To illustrate his point, Patrick Sébastien even continued with a second, even more astonishing anecdote:“My lawyer told me, ‘Patrick, in the hotel, when they bring you breakfast, film it.’ Today, when they bring me breakfast in my hotel room, I film it for prove that I didn’t make any inappropriate gesture. He (my lawyer) told me, if the girl comes out screaming you lose.”
Confidences which strongly caused Pascal Praud and his columnists to react, very surprised by this radical measure. Patrick Sébastien finally concluded: “I’m happy that we treat women much more seriously, but it also has a negative influence on relationships. I don’t want us to pit women and men against each other.”
