Closed six months a year, due to the snow which makes it impossible to send mail, the post office is vital for the 200 inhabitants of the village, as it also serves as a bank. To maintain the line of communication with the outside world, two postmen take turns picking up the mail to be sent every day. If there are more postcards than letters, it is because the highest post office in the world has become a highly touristic place. Hundreds of visitors come here every day to send mail written from the roof of the world.
