Heading for Belgium and the Hautes-Fagnes, a region with spectacular nature and many treasures.

When the morning fog clears over this part of Belgium, an immense marshy plateau and peat bogs as far as the eye can see are revealed. It might remind you of Scotland,” confides a tourist. Here, nature rules and the castles are steeped in legends. In addition to the flora and the castles, somewhere in the marshes there are also cows from Scotland. This not very welcoming environment is called “fens” here. It took time for biodiversity to free itself, because nature is fragile.

This is why on the routes most frequented by tourists, long wooden paths, duckboards, wind through the marshes. Its large spaces beaten by the winds are inaccessible on foot. So to take the measure of it, you have to take a height, thanks to a helicopter which allows you to visit the region from a different perspective.
