Israel claims to have struck “more than 11,000 targets”. They “belong to terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip”adds the army of the Hebrew State. On the human level, Hamas claims that more than 8,500 people have died in less than a month, including some 3,500 children. For their part, the Israeli army assures that more than 1,400 people have died since October 7, mainly civilians killed on the day of the attack.
Dozens of Palestinians killed in refugee camp. Hamas says the Israeli army’s bombing of the Gaza Strip’s largest refugee camp on Tuesday “more than 50” dead and hundreds injured. No other source can confirm this assessment. The Israeli army confirmed this bombing in Jabaliya, specifying that it had successfully targeted Ibrahim Biari, presented as one of those responsible for the October 7 attack.
The fate of the hostages uncertain. After the bombing of the Jabaliya camp, Qatar, involved in attempts to resolve the hostage crisis, condemned “a new massacre” and warned against operations likely to “undermining mediation efforts”. The military branch of Hamas assured on Tuesday that it was ready to release “a number of foreigners in the coming days”.
Communications cut again in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian telecommunications operator Paltel announced on Wednesday a cut “total” telephone and internet lines in the territory. Communications had already been cut off on Friday, before a gradual resumption on Sunday. The human rights organization Human Rights Watch was then concerned that such a cut would serve as a “cover-up for mass atrocities” by the Israeli army.
