• Two forest fires have burned nearly 1,000 hectares since yesterday afternoon in Gironde, mainly affecting the Landiras sector. At least 520 people living in the area have been evacuated, according to the prefecture.
• Seven departments in the south of France are placed on orange alert due to the heat wave. This heat wave should know its peak at the national level “between Saturday and next Tuesday”according to Meteo France.
