the heartbreaking message from Mikaben’s wife, who died in the middle of a concert

On Saturday October 15, the Accor Arena at Bercy in Paris was the scene of a heartbreaking drama. The Haitian singer Mikaben died in the evening, following a malaise, when he had just left the stage. The Caribbean musical group Carimi celebrated their reunion after six years of separation and had invited the artist Mikaben for this great musical celebration. But shortly before 11 p.m., the 41-year-old artist lost consciousness after performing the title “Ou Pati”. The emergency services tried to provide cardiac massage to Michaël Benjamin, his real name, but unfortunately they were unable to resuscitate him.

“The entire Accor Arena team is terribly affected and sends all its support to his family and loved ones in this painful ordeal”, published on Sunday October 16 the Accor Arena of Paris-Bercy on Twitter. ‘Following the discomfort, one of the members of the group, Mickaël Guirand, had asked the spectators to evacuate the premises. “It’s very complicated, we ask to evacuate the room, we need your prayers […] someone fainted”he blurted out.

Since this sudden and tragic disappearance, tributes have poured in for this artist, father of two children, Gaby and Leïa. Last September, the singer and his wife Vanessa, with whom he was married in November 2020, had even announced that they were going to pamper again soon. Flooded with messages of support, the latter however published a message on social networks to ask that we leave her alone. “Thank you for your prayers but please stop calling me. I am in no condition to speak at all. I just lost my other half and I don’t have the words anymore.” she wrote.
