At 80, Jacques Dutronc publishes his memoirs called And me and me and me published by Le Cherche Midi. On this occasion, the singer was this Thursday, November 16, 2023, guest of Steven Bellery on the airwaves of RTL and spoke about his state of health, he who had been forced to interrupt the concert tour started with his son Thomas Dutronc.
“This tour did me good, but I felt bad. It’s like alcohol, it hurts. There were lots of little daily details that made me feel bad. I didn’t I wasn’t well, I got some kind of stupid thing, the crovid!” he first declared, voluntarily changing the name of Covid-19.
“It was during the first festival, I had a fever of 39 or 40, my heart was 133… But that doesn’t matter, it was a very nice experience, I was with my son and great people. It was very good. Good memories. It’s better to have good memories than to be of course the moment because afterwards… I was a little grumpy, I wasn’t the only one because Thomas has his character, but It’s weird, his father must have the same thing at times. But he looks like his mother. He’s worked a lot, he’s very invested, he’s a perfectionist, I’m not.” he added.
The singer who recently explained why he does not mention his ex-wife Françoise Hardy in his memoirs, then made other confidences: “It will be a year in December since I stopped all alcohol. There are a lot of people who drink but very few know how to be drunk. I can’t stand guys who can’t stand gorgeon. They become aggressive sores , glue, I don’t like that. May the wine be joyful, may they enjoy what they drink, life. You have to drink when you are happy. It’s one of the rare sentences that I I explained to Thomas because his friends all smoked joints. I told him: you smoke joints or things, alcohol and all that, but do it when you’re already happy. Don’t try to be happy with these things -that would be illusory”.
