This year, early rentals are making things even more difficult for some students, who are struggling to find accommodation. They are also having to deal with increasingly high rental prices.
If every year, students struggle to find accommodation quickly, it is due to the increase in rental prices over the last decade. The particularity this year: early rentals. Real estate agencies in the region are noticing this. As early as May, students and their families have rented an apartment to move in in September.
Students have taken the gamble of leaving it late to avoid having to pay notice. In this tense context, most real estate agencies no longer have any housing to offer at this time of year. September has begun, the housing stock is almost empty. There are still latecomers who call the agencies daily.
