In Germany, the AFD removes its head of list. Maximilian Krah, 47-year-old lawyer and head of the list in the European elections, is leaving the leadership of the far-right party. Jordan Bardella’s words announcing the refusal to cooperate with a party led by such a compromised man got the better of him. His parliamentary attaché is in prison for espionage and is suspected of connections with China.
Ovations in the British Parliament for an amputee MP. To the applause of his peers, Craig Mackinlay returns to Parliament. He lost both arms and both legs to sepsis. An illness that almost cost him his life: “When I came to, there was talk about these arms and legs because they had turned black”. Since then, the bionic MP has wanted to raise awareness about this disease which kills 48,000 people per year in Great Britain.
In Denmark, concern is growing for International Biodiversity Day. The Baltic Sea is dying. At his bedside, scientists noted the damage: “The seabed is moldy, a white film covers everything”. On the coasts and in the open sea the situation is deteriorating: “We must reduce fertilizer emissions from the land, but for thirty years nothing has been done”.
