Emmanuel Macron then insisted on the events that will bring the French together in 2024: the Olympic Games, the commemorations of the landings or the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris.

A year of regeneration after a year 2023 marked first by demonstrations against pension reform, then by a series of riots this summer after the death of young Nahel. And last hot topic, the immigration law which has completely fractured the political landscape. On X, reactions multiply. Left-wing politicians deplore the policy pursued by the government. While defending his record, the head of state also promised to move much faster towards economic rearmament and ecological transition.
