“The Haunted Manor”, inspired by the mythical attraction of the Disney parks, will be released on Wednesday July 26 at the cinema. It tells the story of a mother and her son who try to drive away the ghosts that haunt their house.
A mother and her son who move into a gloomy mansion, and find the company of 999 ghosts there. With the help of an eccentric clairvoyant and a grumpy scientist, they must free the house from its curse. This is the movie script The Hant Manoré, by Justin Simien, which will be released on Wednesday July 26 on the screens.
Inspired by a merry-go-round
Disney signs a fast-paced horror comedy. No wonder, since originally, the Haunted Manor was a cult ride in Disneyland parks, a ghost train that made thousands of little visitors tremble. Between special effects and thrills, cinema and merry-go-round go hand in hand here. “Disneyland attractions tell stories. It’s very cinematic. At the park, I would ride a lot of attractions and think: how could I reproduce that in a film?”, comments Justin Simien, the director. Disney had already taken up the bet in the past, with Pirates of the Caribbean.
