Do you know the history of the famous ham and butter? The 20 Hours of Saturday April 30 tells you about it.
Ham and butter has been the star of sandwiches for decades. In a Parisian sandwich shop, customers line up to come and taste it. It has been on the menu for ten years. The owner chose an artisanal ham made in Paris and there was no question of preparing the sandwiches in advance. She also uses semi-salted farmhouse butter. “We slice it minute, it has all its freshness. It’s unavoidable the ham and butter”, continues Delphine Zampetti.
Moreover, when she is a little hungry, she eats one. Some come especially for what is one of the symbols of the capital. “It’s a safe bet and it’s always effective”confirms a customer. If ham and butter is so loved, it’s because it lends itself to all configurations, like a delicious companion on the go. “In the train, it’s a must, at work, it’s eaten everywhere”, comments a fan, her sandwich in her hand.
