“Due to the cancellation of the Rage Against the Machine European tour for medical reasons, we regret to announce the cancellation of the day of Tuesday August 30, 2022”. It is with these few words published on Twitter that the organizers of Rock en Seine deplore the cancellation of the concert of the American rock band.

This was to be Rage Against The Machine’s only concert in France in 2022. Following the sad announcement of its cancellation, the Parisian Rock en Seine festival has announced that the whole day has therefore been canceled, indicating that spectators will be able to get their tickets refunded. This last day of the festival was to also host punk bands Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes and Pogo car Crash Controlthe rappers of ausgang and Run the Jewels, the Franco-American rock duo Parlor Snakes and the Liverpool group Crawlers.

Following medical advice, Zack de la Rocha has been advised not to perform the UK and European leg of the Rage Against The Machine tour in August and September 2022. It is with great disappointment that we announce this cancellation . Rage Against The Machine will end its tour at Madison Square Garden on August 11, 12 and 14, then Zack will have to return home to rest and rehabilitate. The flights, travel time and rigorous schedule in the UK and Europe are simply too risky for a full recovery. We are truly sorry to all of our fans who have waited years to see us and we hope Rage will return soon.“, announced the group in a message posted this August 11 on Instagram. The tour of the group will start again in February 2023, but in the United States.
