Always on the move, never where you expect them: the surf rock pop group La Femme has just unveiled the clip Sacatela (sacate la = leave her in Spanish), the first swaying single from his next album. This solar tube with haunting choirs that makes the hips sway heralds a fourth album called Teatro Lucido scheduled for November 4. His particuliarity ? It is performed entirely in Spanish, as was already The garden on their latest album.
The clip, directed by Ilan Zerrouki, was shot at the Hôtel Amour in Nice and on the beach. It portrays according to the group “an allegory of unacknowledged desires and unfulfilled dreams, the Sacatelism”.
La Femme, whose last album Paradigms was released less than 18 months ago, was inspired for this new disc by his adventures in Spain and Mexico, between laughter and drama. The title Teatro Lucido is also that of a theater in Mexico City that the group particularly appreciated. The album presents itself as a musical travel diary which already smells of the sun, the paso doble, the maracas and the Latin passions. It will be the first in a series of thematic albums entitled Odyssey Collection.
La Femme, a variable-geometry group led by Marlon Magné (keyboards) and Sacha Got (guitar, theremin), of which Clara Luciani was one of the singers at the start, is known for its gentle madness and its frenzied shows, where anything can happen. After having crisscrossed Europe and the American continent from North to South on tour, the group is expected on Saturday August 27 at the Rock en Seine festival. A festival he knows well for having crowd-surfed there (literally, on an inflatable surfboard) in 2013 and turned the lawn around in 2016. This year, after making our mouths water about this new album, he may well reveal one or two new titles. Let’s go bailar!
Some memories of tour to iron on the anthem “Foutre le bordel”…
La Femme is on Saturday August 27 at Rock en Seine (6:30 p.m. Main Stage)
