As the group Kyo returns to the forefront, 20 years after its original formation, the former sports journalist declared: “We are very happy to welcome Nicolas Chassagne and Benoît Poher from the Kyo group, well half of the Kyo group, since there are four of you, and as we couldn’t accommodate four of you, we chose the two best!“
A phrase that made him laugh a lot, and to his face, Benoît Poher replied, very seriously, “The others are watching anyway“. And while Marie Portolano assured: “But I like them too!”it was Thomas Sotto who caught the blow, by cunning: “The group Kyo just broke up just now“. A formula that managed to make both artists laugh. Phew!
Not the first time!
In August 2023, for her premiere on the show, Marie Portolano announced the color. She asked: “Samuel, do you like Ken?”, to Samuel Olivier, Thomas Sotto’s joker. A question which then referred to the film “Barbie”by Greta Gerwig, with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, which was a hit in theaters a few months later.
And it was only at the response of Samuel Olivier, who timidly replied “I love Ken.” that Marie Portolano had made up for this blunder: “I just realized what I just said. That’s not at all what I meant.”. And Thomas Sotto replied, “yes, an angel came to the set”.
