At the beginning of the 18th centurye century, in an orphanage in Venice called La Pietà – which did indeed exist -, Ilaria Tagianotte, daughter of a fashion designer, will grow up, in the company of other young girls, far from her family and learn the violin under the aegis of the composer Antonio Vivaldi. She will also become the great composer’s copyist. With Great fireits 10e book, the French Baroque novelist and musician Léonor de Récondo (Loves, Manifesto), combining her two passions, music and literature, tells us at full gallop about the training of a musician and the birth of romantic passion. At the age of 15, with her soul “incandescent” and her body on fire, Ilaria will be inflamed by the music of Vivaldi as much as by a tragic love with Paolo, the brother of one of her friends.
