The Canadian Football League hits a big blow with the halftime show for the next Gray Cup.
The football circuit has announced that popular pop-punk band Green Day will be the star of the show during the game at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton on November 19.
The CFL is thus beginning to follow in the footsteps of the NFL, which made the halftime show a central element of the Super Bowl.
Over the past few years the league has brought in several popular artists, such as Keith Urban, Shania Twain, Imagine Dragons, Justin Beiber, Nickelback, Lenny Kravitz, The Black Eyed Peas The Tragically Hip, to name a few.
