However, in an interview given to M the world and published this Thursday March 7, 2024, Ben Attal did not always appreciate the label of “grandson of Serge Gainsbourg”. The 26-year-old young man cracks the armor for the first time, and reveals that he has long hated this grandfather who stuck to him a little too much, and whose personality criteria bothered him enormously: “I found him rude, disgusting, an alcoholic” shot the twenty-year-old, before revealing that he know that “two songs” by Serge Gainsbourg, and never having listened to the others. An education left to him by his mother, who always “zapped” all of his father’s songs when they were on the radio.

The Gainsbourg house that his mother built to pay homage to his father allows him to rediscover this grandfather whom he did not know, and of whom he had a very bad image for many years: “I’m rediscovering this gentleman, whom I’ve always hated.
