The government wants emergency food aid to be paid to the nine million poorest households, announced government spokeswoman Olivia Grégoire, mWednesday, June 29, confirming information from Echoes published on Monday.
The aid of 100 euros per household, to which will be added 50 euros per child, will be submitted to the vote of parliamentarians within the framework of the purchasing power bill. Recipients of the RSA, the allowance for disabled adults (AAH), the minimum old age and the APL will be affected by the system, according to The echoes.
Still within the framework of the purchasing power bill which should be presented on July 6 in the Council of Ministers, the government also intends to work “on a more qualitative food voucher to access organic, fresh and local products”said Olivia Grégoire during a trip to La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, near Nantes.
“We have already committed 25 billion euros since October on these support measures for the French and we will put roughly the same amount in the coming months”she stressed, also saying she hoped for the establishment “at the start of the school year, a specific device for heavy riders who have to take their car to go to work”.
Contacted by franceinfo, the minister’s entourage specifies that these measures “remain under discussion” with opposition groups in the National Assembly, and “will be submitted later for discussion by parliamentarians”.
“We are coming to the peak of inflation. The good news is that it should then come down, probably towards the end of the year and the beginning of next year,” congratulates himself Olivia Gregoire. The government had already announced to extend at least until the end of August the fuel discount of 18 cents (in mainland France), introduced since April 1.
