While cyberattacks have continued for a week,he Minister of Education Nicole Belloubet announced Thursday March 28 “to suspend” messaging in all digital work spaces (ENT) of educational establishments. Some 130 middle and high schools have received messages threatening attacks in recent days following a hacking of ENT, a digital space which serves as a link between teachers, students and parents.
“We must, in any case as a preventative measure, stop” these events, declared Nicole Belloubet on RTL. The suspension may last “until spring break probably”. And this so that “we can reset our students’ accounts and make them more secure” access to ENT messaging. “Nowe are going to deploy a real digital shield”promised the minister on the social network (ex-Twitter). The spring school holidays begin on April 6 for zone C, on the 13th for zone A, on April 20 for zone B and on April 27 in Corsica.
For several days, dozens of establishments in Paris and the region, more than 150 in total in 20 academies according to the ministry, have been targeted by threats of attacks transmitted via the ENT. Complaints have been filed and several investigations opened. In this case, a 17-year-old minor was arrested and taken into police custody on Thursday in Malakoff in Hauts-de-Seine, Franceinfo learned from a source close to the investigation.
