Bercy wants a “much faster processing of requests”. The government has promised to facilitate, Monday, July 17, access to exceptional financial assistance (AFE) for self-employed workers affected by the riots that occurred after the death of Nahel, killed by a police officer during a traffic check.
This support system makes it possible to obtain aid of up to 6,000 euros for self-employed workers in difficulty. This is the same device as the one released in January 2022 following Covid-19. This AFE is paid by the council for the social protection of self-employed workers (CPSTI). The Ministry of the Economy has specified that this aid could be paid “within ten days from the time the files are submitted”. The aid request can be made until August 31st.
Extension of the deadline for filing a claim
Self-employed workers can still benefit from the health and social services of the CPSTI, in particular assistance to contributors in difficulty, which allows partial or total support for personal contributions and social contributions, the ministry said.
The executive had already announced several measures for businesses, in particular the extension of the period from five to 30 days to make a claim and a commitment from insurers to compensate as soon as possible, as well as the possibility for independent merchants to spread out the payment of their social and tax charges.
