“The government is taking the problem upside down”, says Philippe Ballard, deputy RN

The 8,500 additional police and gendarme posts, “It’s good, but as often the government is taking the problem upside down”reacted Wednesday September 7 on franceinfo Philippe Ballard, deputy National Rally of Oise and spokesman of the party, while the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin detailed the positions which will be created within five years, in the framework of the security programming law (Lopmi).

For Philippe Ballard, “it is the penal chain that must be reformed, it is the migration policy. And it is the procedures”. MP RN believes that “If you arrest an offender and he finds himself outside a few hours later, it is useless”. He recalls the figures announced by the Minister of the Interior on August 20th. There are “55% of people arrested for acts of delinquency in Marseille [qui] are strangers”assured Gérald Darmanin in the Sunday newspaper. “It’s almost the same figure in Paris and Lyon”, says deputy. Which makes him say: “You can put police and gendarmes back on the streets. If you don’t cut off the migratory flow, it’s useless if we don’t get to the bottom of the problem.”

Philippe Ballard affirms that the police “We are tired of doing paperwork. If we reason by the absurd, we will perhaps arrest more offenders for a few hours, but that will mean extra hours of work for the police.” He calls on the government to take things back “in order”. “The reformed penal chain, we stop immigration and we review all these procedures”adds the RN spokesperson.
