The executive wants to prepare a bill on pension reform, for implementation from the summer of 2023. “The bottom line has not changed, we are against it. Is the CGT ready to return to negotiations? “To repeat what we said? Yes, why not. If it’s to discuss the extension of the retirement age, we won’t go long. […] The government does not want to discuss other hypotheses than its own”says the trade union leader.
Union demonstrations are planned for Thursday, September 29. “It is a problem that FO and the CFDT are not there at the national level. […] In many companies, there are unions, FO, CFDT, UNSA, which have joined the movement”explains Philippe Martinez. “For us it’s the start of something”he adds.
