A discount of 15 cents per liter of fuel will be applied from April 1, for individuals and businesses. The candidates for the presidential election have denounced an electoral measure.

In a village in the Oise, the passage of Sylvie Ducrocq, baker, is expected by all. His tour, however, cost him more and more. “A year ago, it’s 55 euros. There, we are at 80 euros, and I don’t have the full”, she says. To cushion the magnitude of the shock, the government announced a discount of 15 euro cents per liter for all fuels from April 1, for a period of four months.

All French people will be affected regardless of income, households and professionals alike. All the candidates for the presidential election pinned an electoralist measure. Marine Le Pen and Valérie Pécresse consider it particularly insufficient. Good news, however: after their record high, oil prices have finally finally fallen slightly, over the past two days.
