Better support at the end of life: this is one of the major objectives announced for Emmanuel Macron’s second five-year term. Firstly, additional beds will be created in palliative care units. The objective is to increase from 1,540 to 1,760 beds in France next year, with openings in previously unfilled departments.
An increase in the number of patients hospitalized at home
The second axis focuses on home hospitalization, with an announced increase of 25% of patients concerned.
