The Ministry of Solidarity is concerned about not having reliable indicators to quantify poverty in France. This observation is shared by associations and specialized bodies.
Currently, the poverty rate measured by INSEE is 15%. To calculate this rate, INSEE uses the tax and social income survey. “Do not therefore fall within the scope of this survey, people residing in communities, mobile and homeless dwellings, student households”, acknowledges INSEE on its website. Better prevent falling into poverty
