“The givers of lessons often have no talent!”

If he has made viewers and viewers die of laughter for many years, Michel Boujenah is nonetheless a whole person. When something bothers him, the 70-year-old comedian does not hesitate to let it be known and always shows frankness. Precisely, the teleshopping “junkie” proved it once again on Sunday June 4, when he came to the show “The taste of Others” on i24news, hosted by Valérie Benaïm.

During his visit, Michel Boujenah was asked about the recent controversy linked to Johnny Depp. The American actor opened the last Cannes Film Festival with the film by Maïwenn (Jeanne du Barry: editor’s note) in which he plays the leading role. Her presence on the Croisette was not accepted by part of the public because of her trial with her ex-girlfriend, Amber Heard, for domestic violence in 2022. Valérie Benaïm therefore wished to have her opinion on the subject and more specifically , if it were possible to separate the man from the artist.

Michel Boujenah attacks the detractors of Johnny Depp

“It’s complicated. Can we separate the man from the artist? It’s a real question. Among the people who are great critics and great givers of lessons in this area, they are often people who have no talent, he said frankly. Proof that he supports Johnny Depp in this situation? Only Michel Boujenah knows it. On the other hand, if there is one person he supports, it is Élisabeth Borne and this, despite the criticism received following the adoption of the new pension reform.

“She was the shield of the President of the Republic”he noted facing Valérie Benaïm before confiding: “I love this woman, I love the person”. What about pension reform? Michel Boujenah does not seem concerned: “I’m 70, it’s up to the 40-year-old guy to answer your questions”.
