As the National season resumes this weekend, the Girondins de Bordeaux have not yet decided their fate. Administratively demoted to National 2 by the DNCG after the appeal committee, the six-time French champion club has obtained a final hearing with the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) to try to save its place in National 1. The hearing will take place on Friday, August 16 at 9:30 a.m., according to AFP.

The Bordeaux team, who failed to convince the DNCG, will have the opportunity to defend themselves during this hearing. If this conciliation is successful, the FFF Executive Committee will have to decide. In the absence of a proposal from the CNOSF, the administrative court will then be the last possible recourse for the Girondins.

The case, which has been going on for several weeks, will have to be resolved very quickly. The National championship resumes on August 16, while the National 2 championship resumes on August 17. Bordeaux’s potential opponents in these two divisions, Villefranche-en-Beaujolais (N1) and Saint-Colomban Locminé (N2), have been informed by the FFF that they will not play a match this weekend.
