The gestures of prehistory

From April 17 until December 30, 2022, “Néandertal l’expo, une saison en Nouvelle-Aquitaine” can be discovered in Les Eyzies de Tayac at the Prehistory Interpretation Center.

In the course, the exhibition offers to watch films on the gestures of Prehistory. These films were created to answer the questions that the public most often ask themselves when they are confronted with objects in shop windows. How were they made? What were they used for? What technical gestures did they use? What methods and techniques to achieve this? And then, what could this object have been used for? That is to say that we bring prehistoric objects to life with these short videos”, says Serge Maury. This prehistorian is one of the co-authors of these films on the gestures of prehistory and in particular of Neanderthal .
