At the heart of November, the MIAM, the Gastronomy and Local Products Fair, has become one of the unmissable events in the region in Alès.
Organized by the Gard Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the MIAM highlights each year: a country, a region of France or a food. This year heading to Sicily. Exhibitors and products are rigorously selected thanks to very strict specifications. Exhibitors manufacture or transform what they sell, that’s the rule! Stand animations and tastings are highly recommended; and this is what makes the success of the Salon.
Since its creation 28 years ago, the MIAM has been gaining notoriety and quality every year.
Miam is popular, authentic and at the same time precursor of culinary trends. We come here to unearth the latest chef’s “trick” that we can reproduce at home. The little extra of everyday cooking, the product that will have an effect on the table for the end of the year celebrations, but also the art of presentation and tasting because it must be said, at Miam, we always have our mouths full!
The show has its fans and pampers its chefs who are getting more and more involved and jostling in the central kitchen to make their recipes in front of visitors!
Visitors will be able to stroll around the 135 stands, which are renewed by 20% each year. This is a fair on a human scale which, despite its success, offers products accessible to all budgets.
