The 13 Hours newscast continues its soap opera exploring the Channel Islands. Tuesday, May 24, he goes to Jersey, to savor his gastronomic specialties.

On the island of Jersey (UK) dairy cows graze. “Jersiaises are simply the best in the world. In relation to their size, they produce more milk with less grass”, assures Bryonny Le Boutillier, owner of woodlands Farm in Saint Hélier. She is in charge of the family farm. On the island, milk is more expensive, but richer, which is ideal for butter. Cow pastures occupy half of the island.

Another culinary specialty of Jersey: potatoes. These grow in just three months. “We plant them on the sloping land of the island (…) the water runs off naturally, they are sunny in the morning”, explains Nigel Holiday, producer at the Jersey Royal Company.
